The Bramley Care Bears is a group of volunteers determined to create a community
that is strong and safe and united by dignity and mutual
respect.

Inspired by the https://www.leeds.gov.uk/plans-and-strategies/equality-improvement-priorities-plan , our key objectives are:

1.      To build a positive, inclusive culture that inspires our volunteers and the members of the community we are supporting

2.      To work towards fair representation and fair treatment of our volunteers and the members of the community we are supporting

3.      To develop a robust understanding of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion values that inform our mission and decision-making.

We pride ourselves in being an inclusive organisation, informing our practices by the spirit of Equality & Diversity, not only ensuring everyone in our settings has equal opportunities, regardless of their abilities, their background or their lifestyle, but also appreciating the differences between people and treating people's values, beliefs, cultures and lifestyles with respect.

We therefore have a zero-tolerance policy for any issues of racism, harassment, bullying, hate or any other kind of physical, verbal or emotional violence perpetrated by our volunteers or any member of the community we are supporting.
