30 09 23 ~ Trip to Maths City for our Learning Spaces Children

Hi all, I am very pleased to be able to confirm that on Saturday 30th September three of our Learning Spaces volunteers took 5 children, who have regularly attended the Friday sessions, to Maths City. The children were immersed in a playful world of mathematics that exposed them to the wonders of physics through gigantic air bubbles, the concept of momentum and energy illustrated by Newton’s Cradle, (steel balls) and the magic of centrifugal force on rotating liquid. They also enjoyed the rich world of Mathematics, by exploring shapes, triangles and digits, through playful activities. We all had fun and learned so much about the world around us. This was the first of more educational outings we have planned to take place on the last Saturday of each month during term time. Children who regularly attend the Learning Spaces Friday sessions will be selected to attend a visit. We invite our parents to encourage their children to attend our Friday sessions. They will discover fantastic opportunities to enrich their learning, widen their horizons and benefit their wellbeing. We will be announcing the details of our next visit shortly Saadia GAMIR
